NEVERLAND is a magical, queer, and campy escape, a fantastical non-place of all possibilities. Matthieu Nieto reveals in himself multiple characters: plastic or fictional, representative or abstract, heroic or monstrous, emotional or spectacular. A poetic journey to explore the essence of being and appearance, transcending imaginations and experiences about gender, sexuality, and identities.

Choreographer, performer, and pedagogue, Matthieu Nieto studied dance and performing arts at Paris 8 University Vincennes-Saint-Denis. He also followed diverse dance training from internationally renowned schools: Donko Seko (Bamako), R.I.D.C. (Paris), COLINE (Istres), Ecole des Sables (Dakar), and Dance New Amsterdam (New York). Then he explores various disciplines including yoga, voguing, and krump, which influence his practice and perception of dance and performance. NEVERLAND is his sixth choreographic creation.
