QUEER AS US – OUR STORY · Frank Lamy
performance · 3 pm · 90 minutes · On stage
An archive in motion of our songs.
« We're here to tell you, ya better make way We're queer rockers in your face today We do love rock’n roll, it's true
But that boy-meets-girl stuff just won't do »
PANSY DIVISION, Anthem, 1993
Frank Lamy is a performing artist, DJ, and curator of exhibitions.
QUEER AS US explores and navigates a global repertoire of 'queer songs' through a blend of performed lecture and commentary-infused sets. Our repertoire includes rap, R&B, rock, blues, electroclash, country, queercore, K-pop, Italo disco, Maloya, Kumbria, Gcom, punk, and chanson...
The objective is to narrate multiple stories, traversing genres, connecting different periods and regions, and amplifying the visibility and audibility of these songs, all while fostering unity.
Each song is contextualized to create a shared moment, blending lecture, performance, celebration, and cabaret elements. From creating chill listening sessions to igniting dancefloors, each track owns its atmosphere, accompanied by commentary—be it like an anecdote, historical context, or specific details.
With support of BLEZ and JerkOff Festival.
Exhibition · Modèle Vivant.e
Performance - 3pm - 180min- Amphi
Led by Linda DeMorrir, Lucie Camous, and Hélène Fromen, Modèle vivant.e is a transfeminist collective of drawing and dissenting representations. Over the 5 years, Modèle vivant.e has created inclusive spaces exploring the possibilities of living bodies and their images. Posing embodies performance and empowerment while drawing unleashes personal freedom of expression. Everything is political.
Exhibition is a participative performance.
Modèle vivant·e changes the game opening the stage to everyone: with Exhibition, the contagion spreads. Participants build a collective body in perpetual reconfiguration.
Exhibition invites everyone to draw, pose, watch, and dance.
The number of roles is up to you but everything participates. No more dualities between stage and audience, actor and voyeur, or model and artist, with spongy boundaries.
Self-determination everywhere, police nowhere.
The drawings trace encounters, ambiguity, randomness, improvisations, and the power of our radical tenderness. They reveal an image of multi-facets that juxtapose, contradict, and intertwine - a strobe image illustrating the expanse of queer possibilities.
